A review of Tennent Caledonian Breweries by Roy Brown written on Wednesday 21st of April 2010
I started drinking Tennents Lager in September 1975 when I was in Oban for a 1 week Diving holiday and that was when I fell in love with 3 things:- The Scots, Oban and Tennents lager but not necessarily in that Order. Since then I have been to Oban around 35 times , one year 4 times. Most of those times taking with me someone who was new to Scotland and most of those time converting them to drinking Tennents Lager, even though I have had to contend with such things as;- I don't drink lager, Lager gives me terrible hangovers, I don't like lager, lager makes me vomit and many more reasons for not drinking lager but every time I have convinced them they should try Tennents and every time except once they have gone away with cans of the Golden nectar in the boot of their car and every time they have returned to Oban or anyother part of Scotland they have drunk Tennents. I now go at least twice a year if not on holiday on a shopping trip to buy Tennents Lager..
