A review of Allied International Credit by Anonymous CAG member written on Sunday 27th of June 2010
”Do you get rid of your debt problems by 'Getting rid of AIC'? Of course not.“ – Depends how many ‘debt problems’ that the customer has. If the customer has already seen one agency of chancers off, then begins the next round of threatening letters and calls, but threats are just threats. AIC is impotent and it knows this.
”They don't lend you the money firstly & they also don't own the debt.” – Then that means there’s no obligation to pay AIC, right?
“So you either try & work with these people or you don't.“ – The best advice is that you don’t. AIC have a reputation for trying to force its will onto other people, when it has no authority or right to do so. So, AIC’s point of view is best ignored.
“If you don't I wouldn't excpect your debt just to disappear. People are foolish if they think it does.” – Maybe not, but once it passes the six year mark without a payment or written acknowledgement of debt (well, five years in Scotland), then it’s statute barred anyway, which means that court action isn’t even possible..
