A review of Marks & Spencer by Marie Brooks written on Sunday 8th of August 2010
On a wet busy Friday (6th Aug)just before the kids go back to school....I had the crazy idea to take my very elderly parents shopping to M&S Braehead.
From forgetting to take the disabled badge to my Father feeling unwell it did not start well! The parking security personnel were extremely professional dealing with my request to accept a note on the car, the clean fully equipped disabled facilities were also a welcome sight. The busy information desk (Heather) on the first floor was also very accomodating to our needs.
But I will be forever grateful to the excellent service the assistant store manager gave to us when all I asked was directions to the elevator!!
She put into action a process that ended up with a very large queue at the collection point for internet orders being delt with by staff who would not normally be working on the shop floor (Smart Suits!)I was not the only customer to be impressed. The very difficult task of fitting my mother with shoes for a wedding was then delt with as I had to leave as my father needed more care and attention. By the time I came back my mother was feeling very spoilt as she had found the perfect shoes and we were not even in the shoe dept as Carla from that dept brought the shoes to her. The payment and returns were handled by Ainslie in such a cheerful manner we were all totally relaxed at the end of wht was a very pleasent day.
Thank You Braehead we will be back.
