A review of G101 Off Sales by Alice eaglesham, written on Wednesday 23rd of May 2007
Having to deal with drunks, druggies and under age
customers is bad enough, but the power that be seem
to be piling even more pressure on licensed premises
and it's staff. If you were to see the fake i.d. that
people try to pass off as legit you would understand
the policy that most independant licensed traders take
on only accepting a valid, indate, with an up to date
picture passport.Realise that one mistake can lead to
an actual criminal record for a member of staff that
takes a fake i.d. Your best bet is to make yourself a
regular in your local offie were the staff know you and have seen your passport. Don't take it as an insult, it is only somebody doing their job properly.
And a bit of praise is due for that, considering the irate what and whos they have to deal with..
