"Wouldn't serve me"

My bridesmaid is a few hundred miles away and with only a few months to the Wedding I had to go shopping myself. Not ideal but a necessity. I was told they couldn't serve me as it was against the shop rules. I found this very upsetting as I would have liked someone with me didn't have that option. Obviously they lost business because I had to look elsewhere..
