It seems that whenever I'm in Glasgow, it's raining... or the clouds are ominously rumbling overhead. But the first place I head to is Fopp (Union St.). Ducking in there on any day is fun because I'm never quite sure what I'll find. Sure, it's not the biggest shop in the land, but like the one in Edinburgh (Rose St.) it packs a lot of surprises. It's not all about the Top 20. It's about much more than that... It's got music that doesn't seem to float to the top (or bottom) in High St. shops these days... You know that stuff that you're now forced to order online because while you and others want it, the shops don't stock it. Fopp - let's hope HMV (the current owners) don't blow this like they're blown Waterstone's and HMV proper..
